Hello everyone, do you know beyond looking after our hair and trying as much as possible to maintain healthy hair. It is also equally pertinent to know that some of the natural herbs we use for our hair can also be used for skin, so remember to care for your skin/body. So looking for more information regarding skincare on my own and found many books and information online about natural skincare.

I began to build a natural skincare regimen from the information I had required and read about, and it works excellently with consistency. I have started on these recipes, and I see changes. Below are some essential and easy recipes to get you started. You can even look through your kitchen pantry or fridge for some of these simple ingredients, which most of us are familiar with. The good thing is they are primary ingredients we also use for our hair. If not, you can find them at your local health food store.

Below Are Some Natural Skincare Recipes

●Basic Oil Face Wash

I know what you’re thinking. “Use oil to wash my face?!” Yes, oil is an excellent and gentle skin cleanser for all skin types. Even oily, acne-prone skin! The oil cleansing method, commonly referred to as OCM, is becoming more and more popular. It deep cleans, soothes, and most importantly, does not strip the skin. Instead, it leaves the skin soft, clean and moisturized.

Ingredients

  • Coconut oil
  • Castor oil
  • Grapeseed oil

Directions

  • Mix these oils nicely and rub a small amount on the face and neck(can be used all over the body) for about 30 seconds.
  • Rinse with warm water.
  • You may have to rinse a couple of times to get all the oils out.
  • You don’t need to go through the hassle of doing exact measurements. Just eyeball it.

Note: You don’t have to use the oils listed above. You can use almond, jojoba, olive, or avocado. Or you may want to use certain oils for specific benefits that may be beneficial to you. Have fun mixing up different oils and ratios and finding the best mixture for you.

●ACV Toner

Apple Cider vinegar contains alpha-hydroxy and amino acids that help dissolve dead skin cells. It treats acne, exfoliates, and balances the ph of the skin. ACV will leave your skin with a beautiful glow.

Ingredients

  • One cup of organic
  • Raw ACV and one cup of distilled or spring water.

An equal amount of ACV and water works great for some skin, but you may need to adjust the ratio according to your skin needs. Some people may find this 1:1 ratio too strong for their skin.

Directions

  • Mix ACV and pure water in a glass container and shake well.
  • Apply the mixture to the skin with a cotton ball once daily after cleansing, then apply moisturizer.

Note: ACV is not advised for sensitive skin types.

●Aloe Vera Toner

Aloe Vera contains essential vitamins, minerals, proteins, polysaccharides, and enzymes. Likewise, amino acids and 200 active plant compounds which are known as phytonutrients. Aloe vera supplies oxygen to the skin cells, rejuvenates, hydrates, and flexible the skin.

Ingredients

  • One cup of pure aloe vera juice or gel
  • And one cup of distilled or spring water

Directions

  • Mix aloe vera and pure water in a glass container and shake well.
  • Apply the mixture to skin with a cotton ball once or twice daily after cleansing skin, then apply moisturizer.

Note: You may need to refrigerate this mixture. Follow aloe vera label directions regarding storage.

●Brown Sugar & Honey Face Scrub

Honey is high in vitamin C, various B vitamins, and minerals. It is rich in amino acids, and antioxidants fight free radicals and reverse aging. Honey is antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal. It is a humectant making it an effective moisturizer because it binds moisture to the skin and hydrates.

Ingredients

  • One tbsp of organic honey
  • one tbsp of brown sugar
  • ½ tsp of coconut oil or oil of choice

Directions

  • Mix ingredients, wet face with warm water, and smooth the face scrub over the skin.
  • Exfoliate gently for about 30 seconds, do not exfoliate too hard.
  • Rinse skin with warm water.

●Honey Mask

Ingredients

  • One tbsp of honey
  • One egg white
  • One tsp of vegetable glycerin
  • ¼ cup of flour

Directions
